A lot of draft sites will provide you with a draft “grade” after your draft. It is important to understand how these grades are calculated.

First off, these draft grades are automated so they do not take into account things like quarterback runs or people reaching for their favorite players. Essentially, the grade evaluates each pick against that player’s average draft position. Or to put it another way, it’s how the computer would draft for you if you set your team to autodraft.

You hire us so that your team doesn’t autodraft. And that means that you are unlikely to get what the computer considers to be an “A” grade.  And that is intentional.

We have guys that we target ahead of their average draft position. We also have guys that we think are ranked too high and which we avoid. Our rankings are not the same as the default rankings. That is why you hire us. Every year there are busts and values and our experience and research helps us to identify those players. So what the computer may see as a reach pick, may actually be a pick that wins your league.

So trust us. Trust the process. And don’t fret too much about your draft grade.
