Based on initial mock draft results, here are the values that we are finding in early 2026 fantasy baseball drafts.

Catcher: Ben Rice
This is mostly due to the site’s default rankings which have him in the 80s or 90s. In a real draft with players that actually know what they’re doing, he’s more likely to go in the 50s or 60s (some may even take him in the 40s).

First Base: Freddie Freeman, Josh Naylor
There aren’t a lot of extreme values at first base this year unless you’re in a points league and people are sleeping on Vinnie Pasquantino, but Freeman and Naylor’s rankings do not truly reflect what they did last year. People are counting on regression.

Second Base: Brice Turang, Brandon Lowe, Gleyber Torres, Jorge Polanco
There are a lot of values to be had at second base if you’re willing to be patient. Once again, people aren’t buying Turang’s breakout and Lowe, Torres and Polanco are perpetually underrated but should provide solid numbers as they are every day players with decent pop and should have good counting numbers.

Third Base: Maikel Garcia
This especially applies in categories leagues where Garcia’s speed makes him very valuable. For late round sleepers, target Sal Stewart and Kazumo Okamoto.

Shortstop: Geraldo Perdomo
People are expecting a lot of regression from last year’s top shortstop. Even if he does regress (he probably will), he’s still a value in the 50s. Take him. If you miss out, Dansby Swanson is about as steady as they come and provides extra value in points leagues.

Outfield: Yordan Alvarez, Riley Greene, Seiya Suzuki and Daylen Lile
Alvarez isn’t outfield eligible on all sites, but if he is, a third round pick is a great value for this guy, especially if you went with a speedster in the first two rounds. Greene and Suzuki are currently being underdrafted and Daylen Lile is a great late round pick with upside.

Starting Pitcher: Kyle Bradish, Ryan Pepiot, Trey Yesavage, Bubba Chandler
The young guys are being undervalued. Bradish is coming off of injury, but if he stays healthy he is a potential ace. Pepiot should benefit greatly from going back to Tropicana Field and Yesavage and Chandler showed knock-out stuff but the small sample size is pushing them down the ranks.

Relief Pitcher: Cade Smith
He has the stuff to be the number one closer in fantasy but he is currently being drafted as the RP5. If you can get him in the sixth or seventh round, he’s a great value.
